Building Respect Through Dance™ is a multi-faceted program that brings ballroom dance to classroom, K-12, to promote physical, emotional and social health and well-being; and to encourage and support healthy, productive relationships defined by respect, cooperation and tolerance among all people.

An intelligent society knows its rules and these rules need to be the &8220;In Thing&8221;. Shifting community norms that find it acceptable for youth to engage in non-healthy behaviors such as smoking, risky sex, and dropping out of school to norms that value youth and their positive, responsible behaviors is doable.

Newspaper headlines continually illustrate the lack of respect for others and uncivil behavior in public and private institutions. Parents and teachers are challenged to find ways to rise youth from varied socio economic backgrounds and ethnicities to be polite, respectful and strong in character-resilient to negative influences.
