A VPN, or Virtual Private Network is simply a secure remote connection to your office network. Easy to set up and use, a VPN allows you to access your files and print documents from just about anywhere with an Internet connection as if your were physically at your office. This is an excellent solution for remote offices, and mobile users.

If your Internet Service Provider provides a static IP address for your connection, you are halfway there. All airCloud services are VPN ready. All you need is a VPN Broadband Router. There are (too) many manufacturers that provide VPN Routers so to simplify things, airCloud recommends the Linksys RV series VPN Routers.

Connect your Internet Connection to the Router WAN Port, and follow the instructions for setting up the router, and setting up a VPN user. Once you have set up the router, create a new connection on your laptop or computer, the wizard will walk you through setting up a VPN connection. Enter the IP Address of your router, and you are ready to go. Simply connect to the Internet, and start the VPN connection to connect to your office.
