Enhance Your Business Cards, Catalogs, & Brochures

Graphic Design is a little bit like writing or other areas of communication. Almost everyone thinks they can do it, but when they try it turns out to be a bit harder than expected and the results are often disappointing. Graphic Design is a unique form of communications, and experts say that communicating more effectively will help attract people to your business and your product.

A designer's job is to communicate the client’s vision in printed materials or often, on the Web. Graphic artists blend together typography, paper, color, illustration, photography--and pizzazz--to deliver a message to a client’s customers on a business card, logo, brochure, poster, invitation, book or even a T-shirt. If a business owner doesn’t know Helvetica from a hole in the ground, it's time to find a designer.

First impressions?

First impressions are everything, especially in business. The moment you meet a prospective client, you are judged in every category: hair, make-up (for women), accessories, clothes, shoes, your handshake, the expression on your face, and your business card.

Your business card is the first most important piece of information you give to your new potential client, and it says a lot about who you are as a professional businessperson. However, your logo identity and business card can either make or break that new deal with your prospective client.

Do it your self?

Too often, many new business entrepreneurs try to do everything themselves, even create their own logo identity, business card and business stationary on their own personal PC. However, many fail to realize the importance of hiring a professional graphic designer to do the job for them. They cut corners to save money by doing the work themselves, instead of hiring a graphic designer first, which will not only save them money, but time and energy as well.

In short, you wouldn’t let a plumber fix your child’s teeth and you wouldn’t let a teacher argue your case in court. As a business owner, you are good at what you do and you have particular expertise. The same is true about graphic designers.
